يدور موضوع البحث حول " إغارات البليميون على مصر 253 – 282م" والبليميون حدى القبائل الرعوية التى كانت تقطن جنوب الصحراء الشرقية ما بين مصر وشمال مملكة مروى . وكانوا يتجولون فى الإقليم الممتد ما بين النيل والبحر الأحمر ؛ حيث كانت تمرر أهم طرق التجارة مع الهند عبر الصحراء الشرقية . خاصة الطرق من ميناء قفط على نهر النيل إلى مينائى ميوس هورمس وبرنيكى على البحر الأحمر . وكان البليميون ، البدو الرحل يترقبون الفرص للاعتداء على قوافل التجارة المارة فى منطقتهم . وكان هدفهم أول الأمر السلب والنهب ثم الفرار، ولأسباب عدة تحولوا إلى الاعتداء على الحاميات الرومانية على تلك الطرق. وعندما تدهورت الأوضاع السياسية والاقتصادية والعسكرية فى مصر اعتدوا على مدن الصعيد . وكانت لتلك الاعتداءات تداعيات كثيرة سواء على مصر أو البليميين أو على النوبة. وتم تذييل الورقة بخاتمة تشمل النتائج التى توصلت إليها الدراسة .
