يتناول هذا البحث موضوعات من المسرح الزنجي لتلقي الضوء على أشکال مقاومة العنصرية داخل المجتمع الأمريکي، من خلال عرض تطور الحرکة الأدبية الزنجية، ومسار المسرح الزنجي، ثم تناول ثلاث مسرحيات زنجية بالبحث والتحليل للکشف عن الکيفية التي عالج بها کتّاب الدراما السوداء مشکلات المجتمع الزنجي داخليا وخارجيا.
في القسم الأول، تناولنا تعريفات الزنوجة وتطور المسرح الزنجي. وفي القسم الثاني عرضنا لنماذج من الأعمال المسرحية الثلاثة وهي مسرحية العبد لأميري برکة وما تضمنته من مناقشات حول حق الزنوج في استخدام العنف کأداة لاسترداد حقوقهم. ومسرحية إبراهام هيل في صف المناضلين، وما تضمنته من مناقشة عن التمييز الطبقي داخل المجتمع الزنجي. واخيرا مسرحية تشارلي راسل " خمسة في ناحية اليد السوداء" والتي تناقش حقوق المرأة داخل مجتمع السود.
ثم نختتم البحث بنتائج ذات صلة بأهمية المسرح الزنجي وقيمته التاريخية في مقاومة العنصرية والکشف عن معاناة الزنوج ومشکلاتهم، بما يعني أن الأدب الزنجي عموما والمسرح بصفة خاصة أدى دوراً مهماً في النضال الزنجي.
This research deals with topics from the Negro theater to shed light on the forms of resistance to racism within the American society, by presenting the development of the Negro literary movement, and the path of the Negro theatre, then it deals with three Negro plays by research and analysis to reveal how the writers of the black drama dealt with the problems of the Negro community internally and externally..
In the first section we dealt with the definitions of Negro and the development of Negro theatre. In the second section, we presented samples of the three theatrical works, which is the play of” the slave” by Amiri Baraka, and the discussions it included about the right of Negroes to use violence as a tool to restore their rights. And Abraham Hill's play” On Strivers Row”, and its discussion of class discrimination within the Negro society. And finally, Charlie Russell's play "Five on the Black Hand side", which discusses women's rights within the black community.
Then we conclude the research with results related to the importance of Negro theater and its historical value in resisting racism and revealing the suffering and problems of Negroes, which means that Negro literature in general and theater in general played an important role in the Negro struggle
